Sheffield United – Newcastle 0-8: Merciless outburst with “victim” the… submerged Blades!

Newcastle reminded themselves of last year at “Bramall Lane” and without showing the slightest mercy forced Sheffield United to the heaviest defeat in their history with a deafening 8-0! A negative record of 90 years was broken by BLADES.

Newcastle panicked and spread a veil of disappointment over “Bramall Lane”, whose stands were emptied from… early. The Magpies, heard a lot about the at least mediocre performances against Brentford and Milan , but they got a victory-antidote, after passing like a siphon from the headquarters of Sheffield United with a deafening 8-0! The Blades, who are at the bottom of the Premier League standings, are well “sunk” , with one point in six matches.

The result will go down in history for both sides. Sheffield United broke a 90-year-old record by suffering their heaviest defeat in league history since that eight took the place of 3-10 by Middlesbrough in 1933!

On the other hand, Newcastle scored all eight of their goals with eight different players, becoming the first team to do so in Premier League history.

Longstaff, Byrne and Boatman scored in the first half, while in the replay, Wilson, Gordon, Almiron, Guimaraes and Isaac took the baton in order. Third three points this year for Howe’s team, who climbed to 8th place in the league.
